The double axis paddle mixer serves as a core piece of equipment for material pretreatment in fertilizer processing, widely utilized for the mixing and conditioning of organic and compound fertilizers. Its core structure consists of five major components working in synergy, with each component fulfilling a specific function.
The dual-shaft paddle assembly constitutes the very heart of the machine; it comprises two parallel main shafts fitted with staggered, wear-resistant paddles. The counter-rotating action of the twin shafts ensures thorough mixing and dispersion of materials—eliminating any “dead zones”—and facilitates the complete integration of raw materials with additives and moisture. This assembly is the critical element that guarantees the effectiveness of the mixing process.
The transmission system provides the power required for the equipment’s operation. Primarily composed of a motor and a reducer, it allows for speed adjustments based on the specific characteristics of the materials being processed. By driving the twin shafts to rotate at a constant speed, the system ensures a smooth and highly efficient mixing operation.
The machine casing and liner plates serve protective and wear-resistant functions. The sealed casing prevents material spillage, while the wear-resistant liner plates lining the inner walls minimize abrasion, thereby extending the service life of the double axis paddle mixer and preventing material buildup on the walls that could otherwise compromise mixing efficiency.
The inlet and outlet ports manage the flow of materials into and out of the machine. A uniform feed rate at the inlet prevents localized material accumulation, while the outlet port—equipped with a control valve—allows for flexible adjustment of the discharge rate to meet the specific requirements of subsequent processing stages.
The speed regulation and control system enables precise adjustment of the rotational speed. Furthermore, it is equipped with an overload protection function designed to prevent equipment failure caused by abnormal material conditions, thereby ensuring the safe and stable operation of the double axis paddle mixer.
