Our company recently completed export customs declaration and Certificate of Origin processing for two 2.5-meter crawler-type compost turners; the units were transported by trailer to the port and shipped to Malaysia. Concurrently, our foreign trade department sent scanned copies of the full document set to the client to facilitate the advance preparation of customs clearance materials.
A China-ASEAN Free Trade Area Certificate of Origin was obtained for this shipment, allowing the client to benefit from preferential tariff rates during customs clearance in Malaysia. Foreign trade staff cross-checked equipment details—including name, model, quantity, weight, and value—against the customs declaration to ensure consistency with the commercial invoice and packing list. All wooden packaging underwent fumigation and bears the IPPC mark, with the fumigation certificate accompanying the shipment. Additionally, the company secured comprehensive cargo insurance covering both the sea voyage and port handling operations. During the customs inspection, the equipment nameplates, engine numbers, and track widths matched the declared information, and the goods were cleared for export.
After the container was sealed, a one-time-use seal was applied, and the seal number was recorded on the packing list and the draft bill of lading. Shipping line booking confirmations indicate the cargo will travel from the Port of Shanghai to Port Klang. Both units have now been loaded onto the vessel; original documents have been sent to the client via courier, while electronic copies were provided in advance.
